The quality policy of Ravensbergen Food B.V. is based on continuous improving and securing the quality of our products and processes. We do this by integrating our quality policy in the whole organization. We ensure that all our employees adapt the methods, machines and materials in a similar and structured manner. In such a way that the quality is assured, and if necessary, improved.
For the production of our delicious cereal bars and crunchy granola bars we collaborate with reputable raw material and packaging suppliers.
Annually we have a few audits done by customers or extern auditors.
To guarantee the quality of our products, we are audited by external auditors. We also work with organizations to certify our products according to sustainable initiatives. Our residual flow is processed by a GMP + certified company into animal feed. On request of customers we could use FSC certified cardboard for skillets and outer cases.
BRC & IFS
The protection of our food safety and quality management system is checked by Lloyds by using BRC and IFS standards.
Our ethical standards are being judged during a SMETA audit by SGS. SMETA means “Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit” and is an auditing method for ensuring ethical trading by companies.
UTZ Certified / Rainforest Alliance Certified
On request of the customer we use UTZ certified Rainforest Alliance Certified cacao and hazelnuts for a few of our products. For this we are also audited annually by SGS. The mark UTZ Certified / Rainforest Alliance Certified has set up a sustainability program for the farmers who grow coffee, cacao and tea. UTZ Certified / Rainforest Alliance Certified focuses professionalize the agricultural practices of the farmers, improve the social facilities of the employees, economical improvements of the farmers and environment improvements. The tracking system of UTZ Certified guarantees that the raw materials are grown responsibly. Their mission is to create a world where sustainable farming is the norm.
RSPO SCC Group Certification
By using palm oil certificated by Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO),we can help to reduce the negative impacts of palm oil cultivation on the environment and communities. Ravensbergen Food is RSPO SC certified (certificate number: CU-RSPO SCC-828058-33) and can supply RSPO certified products based on Segregated (SG) and Mass Balance (MB) RSPO supply chain model. Corporate Social Responsibility
Ravensbergen Food B.V.'s policy is to operate in a socially responsible manner. This means that damage to the environment is kept to a minimum, that energy consumption is reduced as much as possible, that raw materials are of sustainable origin, that the well-being of our employees is of paramount importance, and that we selectively support social organisations. All this is set out in our Code of Conduct. Ravensbergen Food B.V. does not use genetically modified raw materials until it is clear what the consequences of genetic modification might be.
Ravensbergen Food B.V. is committed to provide a safe and healthy workplace and to promote the health and wellbeing of its employees. Also the standards in the food industry requires to be a non-smoking company. We have therefore decided to adopt the following smoking policy which applies to all employees and visitors of our company:
It is the policy of Ravensbergen Food B.V. to prohibit smoking in all buildings, rooms and the premises to provide and maintain a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
This policy is effective on June 1, 2016.
Peanut and sesame free company
It is the policy of Ravensbergen Food B.V. that she will not process peanuts and sesame as raw material in her products.
Ravensbergen Food B.V. prohibits the consumption and the bringing of food with peanuts or sesame in her premises for all her employees and visitors to avoid cross contamination with her products and to maintain the peanut and sesame free policy.
The peanut free policy has been in force since January 1, 2015. The start date of the sesame free policy took effect on February 22, 2017.
